Police lens on drug contents along NH-2

As part of a multi-pronged exercise taken up to combat the growing trend of drug trafficking in Manipur, state police commandos have begun conducting on-the-spot testing of drugs to ascertain their contents along the Pallel-Moreh stretch of National Highway 2.
Though heroin manufactured at the notorious Golden Triangle countries - Thailand, Myanmar and Laos - is being smuggled into India through Manipur's border town of Moreh, the highway has witnessed frequent seizure of drugs with high quantity of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (PH) and ketamine hydrochloride (KH) in it.
