Parents
Yashima *
Not once have we slept with an empty stomach,
Not once have we walked barefoot,
Even when there isn't a penny left,
And all the troubles, right and left,
They haven't had any complaints,
hiding away the pain behind scores
and scores of smiles donning happiness
in the fabric of sadness,
When their children make mistakes,
they forgive without any inhibitions,
Such big hearts , without a doubt!
There may be pain and hurt galore
and yet they melt the moment they're
being called 'mom' 'dad',
everything just fades and only a sea of love remains,
their love for their children.
They toil hard for their children,
only wishing the best for them,
Forgetting themselves in the midst.
It's life, sure there will be ups and downs
fights ,anger and regrets in between.
But worry not for they're just 'passing' moments, a day or two.
And the love our parents have is a promise
of lifetimes and more.
How lucky we're! This life is filled with Love and blessings.
