Shija Hospitals and Research Institute, Langol, Imphal is an ISO 9001:2000 Certified tertiary healthcare centre. The hospital has been successful to a great extent in bringing the latest technology in health care delivery system.

In the year 1996, laparoscopic equipments were first procured and the MAS (Minimal Access Surgery) was started at Shija Hospitals and Research Institute for the first time in the state of Manipur. Further in the year 1997, the hospital became the proud owner of the first Harmonic Scalpel in the Indian Sub Continent.
Harmonic Scalpel was procured for giving high emphasis to the safety of the patients undergoing MAS (Minimal Access Surgery). Within the next few months the hospital gradually developed the most modern technology and the advanced techniques to deal with all kind of stones being detected anywhere in the body.
Today Shija Hospitals and Research Institute, Langol is glad to declare itself as the only centre to have all the expertise and equipments for treating stones under one roof in Eastern India.
Shija MAS (Minimal Access Surgery) for masses is yet another endeavor to reach out to the masses. The programme is being initiated to make all the sections of the public avail and afford the latest facilities under Shija Minimal Access Surgery program.
Procedures covered under Shija MAS for masses are Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Laparoscopic Appendisectomy, Laparoscopic Ovary Surgery, Laparoscopic Ectopic Pregnancy Surgery, Urinary Tract Stone Surgery and other related laparoscopic procedures.
These advanced patient friendly procedures may be availed at prices as low as Rs.8000/- from the current charges of Rs.14,000/- plus. However, fees have been categorized at different levels depending upon the room/ place of stay. This is a pilot project for one month.
