PM to visit Japan, Thailand from today

Major infrastructure projects, fresh investments, civil nuclear cooperation, boosting connectivity between South and South East Asia via the North Eastern States, as part of ‘Look East Policy’ are high on the agenda of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh who will tour Japan and Thailand from Monday.
Meanwhile, connectivity would be the top priority when Dr Singh meets Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. “Thailand is also an important component of our Look East Policy. We have covered ground to achieve progress in key areas such as security cooperation, economic relations and connectivity”, said Mathai.
