PM assures early settlement of Naga issue

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has assured that the vexed Naga political issue would be settled at the earliest. He said this to the Nagaland Congress legislators who called on him Thursday at his 7 RCR residence, New Delhi. Talking to this Correspondent, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president S.I Jamir said that all eight Congress legislators from Nagaland apprised the Prime Minster of the present Naga political situation.
Jamir said the Congress legislators led by CLP leader Tokheho Yepthomi urged the Dr. Manmohan Singh to bring about a solution at the earliest while he was in office as the Prime Minister and before the parliamentary elections slated next year.
