Over 400 villagers receive treatment at Assam Rifles camp

At least 400 villagers from the remote areas in Manipur's Chandel district received medical aid during a camp organized by Assam Rifles' doctors.
Areas in distant corners of Manipur have been deprived of basic amenities, including medical care. With the onset of monsoons, outbreak of various diseases like malaria is common, an Assam Rifles statement said.
"The medical officers of the unit and nursing assistants provided medical care to the people. Around 400 villagers, including children, from Kwatha, Kwatha Khunou, Satang, Molphei and Saikul village were treated at the camp and medicines like cholroquine was also distributed," it said.
