Opposition fails to attend JLF meeting
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Jan 8 (NPN)
Much awaited January 8 Joint Legislators Forum (JLF) meeting at Chumkedima police complex here turned out to be a damp squib with opposition parties not turning up to attend the same. The meeting that was scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday could not be held without the opposition legislators except for one lone senior Congress MLA, Chingwang Konyak who showed up.
Later, NPF president Dr. Shurhozolie talking to the media accused Congress legislators of playing “hide and seek” with the DAN legislators and alleged that Congress did not want to resign. “They said they want to resign before the solution came which they in their hearts of hearts, they do not have such idea but I think in order to play hide and seek with us they bring out all these points” said Dr. Shürhozelie.
