The award winning sculpture from Nongmaithem Nandaraj

Members of KIND (Kakching's Initiative for National Development) Trust would be rolling out red carpet welcome to Nongmaithem Nandaraj Singh, the recipient of Lalit Kala Academy Award, 2013 when he landed at Tulihal Airport here at 11 am on May 20 2014. Nandaraj was honoured with the India's highest award in fine arts for his work of sculpture titled 'The Great dictator" . He is the first Manipuri to win this prestigious award in sculpture and the second Manipur after Thoidingjam Tombi Singh, who won the award for painting in the year 1989 .
