Naga rights panel seeks PM role - Wants Shimray freed
The Telegraph | Imphal, May 13:
The Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights today sought Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s intervention to speed up the peace process for an “honourable” solution to the Naga political issue and also to release NSCN (I-M) leader Ningkhan Anthony Shimray.
“Once again, with faith in your sincerity to settle the Indo-Naga issue, we appeal for your intervention in expediting an honourable solution. We also appeal for the release of all Naga political prisoners as a gesture of goodwill,” the Kohima-based rights group petitioned the Prime Minister in a memorandum.
