Naga groups endorse unity
The Telegraph | Kohima, July 31
Naga organisations today endorsed the demand for integration of Naga contiguous areas under one administrative unit in the agreement between the Centre and the NSCN (Isak-Muivah).
NSCN (I-M) sources said they would sign an agreement on a "pan-Naga" solution to the talks but Nagaland chief minister T.R. Zeliang told reporters today after meeting representatives of Naga organisations that the demand for integration has not been dropped.
The next meeting would include all Naga organisations from Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam for broad-based consultation. "We will invite all Naga representatives from outside Nagaland for a broad-based consultation," Zeliang said.
