Naga accord: Assam will not be affected: Ravi
Assam Tribune | R Dutta Choudhury | Guwahati, Sept 14
Replying to a question on the outcome of his recent visit to Manipur, Ravi said that because of lack of “proper communication”, there were apprehensions in the minds of the people of the state about the agreement with the Naga rebel group. He said that during his two day visit, apart from political leadership, he had detailed talks with different civil society groups including organizations representing people of Manipur valley, hills, elders of the society and even representatives of Kuki people on the framework agreement. “Efforts were made to remove apprehensions from the minds of the people. The people had lots of questions in their minds and all possible efforts were made to address their concerns,” he added.
