NSCN/GPRN (K) seeks clarification from NSCN (I-M) on "anti-Naga" statement
Nagaland Post | Kohima, Jul 26 (NPN)
NSCN/GPRN (K) sought clarification on why it was branded as “anti-Naga” by the NSCN (I-M) for harboring friendly relationship with other revolutionary groups of the Northeast India. MIP of NSCN/GPRN (K) alleged it was being maligned for its “revolutionary firmness” under S.S. Khaplang by the NSCN (I-M).
Citing various past events which caused division of the once united NSCN, it reminded that Isak Swu, the then chairman of “undivided NSCN” formed an undeclared ‘United Front’ with other NE revolutionary groups at Janlam CHQ in 1985, assisted by ULFA vice chairman Arobindo Rajkhowa and general secretary UNLF Sanayama, to fight occupational forces jointly as separate entities for sovereignty.
MIP asserted, that as all “revolutionary brothers” of the region shared similar military and political problems, the feeling of oneness developed among them, which resulted in the formation of Indo Burma Revolutionary Front(IBRF) under the leadership of Khaplang as chairman, assisted by Arobindo Rajkhowa (ULFA) and Shanayama (UNLF), that continued to function till 2000s .
