NSCN-KK mulls separate agenda for Nagas
Assam Tribune | Dimapur, Nov 22
In the backdrop of signing of the ‘Framework Agreement’ between NSCN-IM and Government of India in New Delhi on August 3, NSCN-KK (GPRN/NSCN) has mooted a separate agenda for the betterment of Nagas of Nagaland. It has also proposed an ‘alternative’ solution with Government of India for the future Naga generation.
“While Nagas in four Naga-inhabited districts of Manipur celebrated the August 3 agreement by lighting candles throughout the night, the Nagas of Nagaland were kept in the dark about it,” Zhimomi pointed out. He also said Centre’s interlocutor RN Ravi has said the Nagas of Manipur are demanding greater autonomy. Therefore, he stated that the Nagas of Nagaland have no business with the said agreement.
