NSCN-IM refuses to comply with Delhi diktat

The increasingly fragile journey of ceasefire between the NSCN (IM) and the Government of India took yet another turn down the road of confrontation as the defiant Naga outfit refused to comply with the latest diktat from Delhi that prohibits even cardholders from carrying weapons during the period of Assembly elections in Nagaland.
The NSCN (IM) instead branded the order as ‘a blatant violation of ceasefire’ and accused Delhi and Indian security forces of trying to impose on the group the ground rules of a separate ceasefire agreement signed between the Government of India and the NSCN (K).
