NPCC alleges NPF as anti-Nagaland
Eastern Mirror | Dimapur, Jun 3 (EMN):
The Opposition Congress today advised the NPF to ‘muzzle the unbridled tongue’ of the Home Minister Imkong L Imchen whose ‘irresponsible utterances have crossed all limits of diplomacy’ instead of blindly defending his stand.
Also in an apparent attempt at turning the table against the ruling party on its branding of the Congress party as “anti-Naga”, the NPCC questioned why the NPF is “dividing the Nagas of Nagaland” and conversely branded the NPF as “anti-Nagaland”.
“Why are the NPF dividing the Nagas of Nagaland vertically? …How long can we suffer in the hands of the NPF’s divisive politics? NPF is anti-Nagaland and time will tell sooner than expected, whether the NPF is for fragmentation of the State or integration of contiguous Naga areas,” the Congress statement said.
Claiming that the NPF is all set to contest in the Manipur election “because it is fast losing its ground in Nagaland”, the NPCC said, “The NPF is mutating to political aberration that will finally face self-destruction.”
However, the NPCC claimed that the NPF of doing more harm than good to the Naga political issue by mixing the affairs of the state and the Naga political issue. “Their constant yell has become a nuisance to the good cause of the Nagas,” it stated.
