43rd NHPC Raising day Celebration at Loktak Power Station
Loktak Power Station has celebrated 43rd NHPC Raising day on 07thNovember i.e. on Tuesday at Open ground adjoining to community hall, Loktak. Shri Bedi Ram, Chief Engineer (I/c) of Loktak Power Station was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The celebration started with the lighting of lamp by the hands of Chief Guest and other senior officers of the Power Station.
Speaking on the occasion, CE (I/c) said that “Power Station achieved excellent annual target of 550 MU with the rising of sun in the horizon on 7th November 2017 and roaring to cross the earlier records of project. Not only that Loktak Power Station has generated highest ever monthly generation of 77.83 MU in October 2017 against previous highest monthly generation of 76.75 MU in October, 2015. He appealed to the all employees to act collectively to achieve many more milestones in days to come.”
Power station is conducting free cataract operations in collaboration with Shija Hospital & Research Institute(SHRI),Imphal and distributing free medicines as part of CSR& SD and also sponsoring various sports tournaments to encourage local talent in sports”.
He also added that power station is promoting the educational and skill development activities and creating infrastructure facilities for the local people. This was followed by cultural programmes by Kendriya Vidyalaya, Loktak.
