NE facing deficit monsoon rainfall

NE region is facing a deficit monsoon rainfall till date. According to the data available with the Regional Meteorology Centre (RMC) of the India Meteorology Department (IMD) here, between June 1 and July 11, Arunachal Meteorology Subdivision has received 36 per cent deficit rainfall, while the Assam-Meghalaya Meteorology Subdivision has received a 45 per cent deficit rainfall and Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram-Tripura (NMMT) Meteorology Subdivision has received a 61 per cent deficit rainfall during the period.
