Myanmar no to request for use of their road
Assam Tribune | Sobhapati Samom | Imphal, Aug. 29:
Myanmar’s rejection of the request to use their roads by the Manipur Health department is likely to affect the health programmes under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), a Centrally-sponsored scheme in the border State.
The people particularly the children of around 40 border villages in Manipur’s Chandel district are likely to miss the benefits of regular free health camps and routine immunisation programmes after Myanmar rejected the proposal to use Myanmar roads to facilitate the movement of Manipur Health officials.
