Motor Workers Union appeals to Home Minister Manipur

A Committee meeting of Assam, Nagaland and Manipur Motor Workers Trade Union was held on August 22, 2011 at Dimapur Motor Workers Trade Union office, Golaghat Road. Following this, the union submitted an appeal to the Home Minister, Imphal, Manipur.
A press note issued by Manohar Singh, general secretary, Co-ordination Committee of Owners, Drivers and Motor Workers Union, Assam, Nagaland and Manipur, stated that the union in the appeal informed that a month has already elapsed since about 35 trucks from Assam and Nagaland have been stranded at Kankopi, Manipur due to ongoing strike called by the local residents.
