Debjit Sinha couldn’t believe it when his armed Kuki captors woke him up at 3.30am on Sunday and told him he was free to go.
The 25-year-old UK-educated engineer, taken hostage in Manipur last Thursday, couldn’t believe it even when he and his uncle Abhijit Sinha were hurtling through hilly village roads in a Maruti Gypsy for one-and-a-half hours.
