Nagaland Post | Imphal, Nov 7
Manipur became the first among the Northeast states using geo-textiles technology in the road construction with the technology is being using in the ongoing road improvement work along the stretch of the NH-150. The road improvement work of the stretch of the Imphal-Churachandpur section of NH-150 (Tiddim road) from Imphal’s Keishampat Junction to Tiddim Ground (2.2 Km) is currently taken up with the target to complete before the Manipur Sangai Festival-2015 to be slated for November 21.
State Public Work Department (PWD) is implementing the pilot project of the Union ministry of textiles under a scheme for promoting use of Geotechnical Textiles in Northeast region.
