Manipur godowns lack sufficient capacity FCI

The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has admitted that the existing godowns in Manipur are not sufficient to store a year's requirement of foodgrain.
The FCI, in a statesment, said, "Existing godowns in Manipur - Sangaiprou with 13090MT capacity, Ukhrul 5000MT capacity, Jiribam with 5000MT capacity and Koirengei, which has been rented, with 7000MT capacity - are not sufficient to meet the requirement of the entire population of Manipur."
