Top seed Apollosana starts with a win
Defending champion and top seed Rk. Apollosana Singh started off on a strong note picking his first point in the 21st Kh. Anou Singh Memorial Open Chess Tournament at Kwakeithel in Imphal West. Former Telegraph Chess champion and second seed Kh. Sanjoy Singh also came up with a win against Lawrence Singh.
Subroto Cup
Triveni Public School registered a 4-3 goal win against Nilamani English School through penalty shootout in the Imphal West District Inter-School Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament at Khuman Lampak sports complex.
In another match, South Point School of Science came up with a close victory of 3-2 goals against Nirmala Rani High School.
Kabaddi coaching:
SAI kabaddi player Bindarani Devi has been called for the trial-cum-coaching centre at SAI Lucknow centre for the International Junior Kabaddi Competition.
