Manipur, Nagaland bag top agri honours
Seven Sisters Post | Probir Pramanik | New Delhi (Jan 15):
Overcoming harsh topographical and socio-political challenges, strife-torn Manipur has recorded four-fold increase in the total food grain production. Similarly, neighbouring Nagaland too witnessed a double-digit increase, earning them the coveted ‘Krishi Karman Award’ for exemplary performance in crop production.
Hitherto known as ‘low productivity’ states, Manipur and Nagaland bagged the awards for their special contribution for crop production, an honour they shared with Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu two top productivity states.
