Manipur Govt. refers ILPS bills to president for consent

Manipur government has written to the President of India urging him to give due assent to the three bills passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 31 for providing a Constitutional safeguard to the indigenous people of Manipur.
An official source informed that the state law department has sent a letter to the President on Monday (September 21) to give due assent to the Protection of Manipur Peoples Bill 2015, Manipur Land Revenue and Land Reforms (7th Amendment) Bill 2015 and the Manipur Shops and Establishments (2nd Amendment) Bill 2015.
