L Bombayala chasing London Olympics dreams
The Telegraph | Imphal, July 27:
Indian archery is one of the best bets where the country can expect to win some medals in the 2012 London Games, asserted L Bombayala Devi who has recently qualified for the Olympics. “We are a side brimming with confidence. We have the potential to win medals,” said Bombayala on Wednesday.
The archer from Manipur also heaped praise on her teammates who have got the tickets for Olympics. “Deepika Kumari and Chekrovolu Sworu are brilliant on their day. They truly deserve the Olympics berths,” said Bombayala.
This will be the second Olympics for Bombayala after the 2008 Beijing Games.
“I was extremely disappointed in 2008. I was too nervous… Now, I can handle pressure… I am well prepared to win a medal,” said Bombayala.
