"International Township" at Moreh on card

Manipur government is planning to develop an "International Township" in an area close to Moreh, Manipur's border town at the international border with Myanmar under country's Look East Policy. An official source Wednesday said that Manipur government with the consultation with the town and country planning organization of Union ministry of urban development has prepared the concept of the mega project.
India's Look East Policy is a policy aimed at promoting and enhancing trade link with SE Asian countries including China, with Manipur, the source disclosed, maintaining that considering that Manipur is the India’s Gateway to the East through Moreh town, the mega project for developing a international township was taken up.
