In my garden of life
Chinglembi Shagolsem *
Many famous poets and writers compared the voyages
Of life as the different seasons of nature,
Like the autumns and springs.
Others analogize the phases of life
As the early rising sun that flames the clouds
And sinks its beams into the ocean.
Some wisdom renders the passage of life
Likening it as a bubble that floats
Into the ripples of waves that never
Know when it burst.
And I resemble my life as a garden
That I envision it with the flowers of love,
Joy, hope, gratitude, kindness and those
Universal values into it.
Moreover, I will uproot the weeds of hatred
Selfishness, anger, jealousy and so on.
That's how I imagine the leikol of my life.
