GM India to focus on North-East market for more growth

General Motors India will be focusing more on the North-East market as a recent sales study conducted by them shows that the region is expected to grow significantly more than other regions in the country. The American automaker is expecting a growth of almost eight- percent this year from the North-East market.
Currently, the North-Eastern market contributes three percent of the total sales and around 32 per cent of total sales from the eastern region where Assam contributes the most. The American manufactures’ small cars like the Beat and the Sail hatchback are in good demand in the region along with the Sail sedan.
