Fuel crisis in Manipur due to torrential rains, landslides

A fuel crisis has hit the state of Manipur following heavy rains and landslides blocking the movement of fuel supplying vehicles on National Highway 2. Manipur has been virtually cut off for a month. Long queues were seen in front of petrol outlets as people had to wait from morning till noon to get the fuel. The fuel was being administered with limited supply to each vehicle.
Rajiv, a consumer waiting at the fuel station, said the scarcity of fuel had taken toll on their business and urged the state government to address their woes. "There is big problem of fuel and there is no diesel too because of which we are not able to use our vehicles.
