Freedom's Worth
Jitendra Kumar Singh*
Your footprints divine
Fading into grass and dust
Beckons my heart
Behold, delay not, follow
Lest you may not find
Your way out
From the wood your own!
Walking through stealthily
I try to flee, at times
From your abode
Into the world of
Desire worthless.
Holds me back then
The chain of freedom
Love comes to light
With its face submissive
And I surrender all
That’s unfaithful in me
Giving birth to a new life
I start afresh
My journey on your path
That leads to my soul!
