Fingers crossed for peace talks - 2015: the year that was

At the beginning of every year for the past few years, Nagaland has raised a toast to a hope, only to see it come crashing down. The coming year is no different and the question that will be uppermost in the mind of the Nagas is whether there will finally be an agreement with the NSCN (I-M)?
What casts a shadow over the possibility of total peace in the frontier state, though, is the March exit of the Myanmar-based Khaplang faction of the NSCN from the ceasefire that it had signed with the Centre in 2000. The outfit showed what it could be capable of within a couple of months.
