Film forum seeks ex gratia

The Film Forum Manipur has demanded compensation for four injured persons and the damage to three video films, during a grenade attack on a film-editing studio at Uripok in Imphal West district on December 25.
The film fraternity, under the umbrella of the forum, staged a sit-in today, demanding compensation for the victims. Laimayum Surjakanta, the chairman of the forum, said, “Deputy chief minister Gaikhangam visited the victims at the hospital and assured them that the government would render all possible help for treatment. However, there has been no response.”
