Exhibition of contemporary art captivates Calcuttans

A six-day exhibition of contemporary art by six Manipuri artists that ended here yesterday swept connoisseurs and admirers off their feet through the sheer vitality and versatility of the creations on display.
The six members of the Neo Gene Contemporary Artists Manipur were here on a mission — to showcase the present trend of visual arts of this hilly northeastern state.
Ksh. Sarat Singh, Ch. Lalit Singh, Wahengbam Robin Singh, M. Thomas Singh, G. Gandumpu and Leishangthem Ishwor enchanted art connoisseurs in the City of Joy with their wonderful paintings, woodcuts and etchings.
