Course to boost tourism at IIM Shillong
The Telegraph | Shillong, July 26:
IIM Shillong is hopeful that the formal inauguration of the six-month certificate course in tourism and hospitality management today, funded by the North Eastern Council, will help participants project the Northeast as a vibrant tourist destination.
DoNER minister Paban Singh Ghatowar, after inaugurating the course at IIM, lauded the efforts of the institute to boost the tourism sector.
Twenty-six participants for the course have been selected through a rigorous selection process held in Dimapur, Shillong, Imphal and other places.
Assam has the highest number of participants with 12, Meghalaya seven, Manipur three, and Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland with two seats each.
