Piece of condolence to the bereaved Family- Thingnam Kishan
By Anthony Gangmei *
When I heard the news of Thingnam Kishan being killed brutally by some cowardice just for some few money or for some personal gains and interest, I recalled the day when my brother was also killed in the year 1997 when I was in Delhi doing my graduation, my brother was also a brilliant student from his school days and was also a good leader too, it was a day when he just finished his final year MBBS exams from RIMS he too got an invitation to go for a picnic and from that day he never come back and we found his body after almost 10 days in one of the hills of Ukhrul district near Yainganpokpi just near the Kuki village.
I feel the same pain that his family might be going through, in such a situation the money nor the jobs offered by the government will not fill the heart of his wife and his family but the justice is the only thing that can bring joy and happiness to the lost demise soul as well as to the bereaved family. But how do we bring and get justice is the big question mark that everyone should be asking within us and to the authorities.
Because of such a situation like this in the past and due to the emotional decision rather then intelligent thoughts the so called the "Land of Jewels" have seen a bloody communal war in the past not to mentioned Meitei and Pangal, Kuki and Nagas.
In such times according to my experience many people will come to console and will try to take advantage as much as they can from the bereave family whether it is politicians, bureaucrats, social workers or the so called our freedom fighters (the insurgents) so my piece of advice to the family is try to walk the way our brother Thingnam Kishan has try to traveled in this deadly and sinful world that is the "truth path" only the true judgment taken by you today (wife of Thingnam Kishan) and by the family will bring peace and joy to the lost soul.
I didn't know our late Thingnam Kishan at all but we have the same education route, a good background of Don Bosco School which shapes and mould the character when we were wild and young and above that we are lucky to get the higher learning from the highest and most intelligent school of thought from our country that is from Delhi University, we may have parted after that from that satge because of different interest but the way we traveled along has a good and strong sense of knowledge as well as the character to stand for truth and justice and because of that reason the lone good surviving person like Thingnam Kishan has been taken over by evil today.
When I said that money and the jobs would not bring a contentment to the bereave family it doesn't mean that the family should not take but accept the offer only and after the justice is brought to the lost family.
Whenever I call up home at this time of situation the people especially the Nagas in the Imphal valley suffer the most but what can we and I do, the situation is such that our state authority has taken a contract for the vested interest only and that's the reason why an incident like this continued to happen again and again and people live with fear today where once Manipur is considered as one of the most peace loving state.
My family had come across the similar situation which happen decades ago if our family had not taken a right decision at that point of time there could have been a bloody bath war but with the hope to live in peace and prosperity among diverse society our family took the right decision at that point of hard times and today my piece of word and condolence to our brother late Thingnam Kishan family is to take a good decision and the decision taken by you and your family will live on forever.
Today I didn't considered Manipur a safe place but considered as a safe heaven for all the evil things so my prayers to the lost family is to take a good decision where our next generations can be live in peace and prosperity.
