- Club25 International Manipur strives to curb blood shortage
The Telegraph | Imphal, May 31:
The Okram Ibobi Singh government has chosen the Manipur unit of Club25 International, a global platform for young blood donors, for the prestigious health minister’s shield in recognition of its contributions to the state’s healthcare sector.
The club, which is only two donation camps old, earned the award because its very first camp on the Manipur University campus in March had drawn more than 235 voluntary donors — a big number by Manipur standards, as the eligibility criteria for the health minister’s shield is 200 donors. The award will be conferred on the club during its own event, which will be held on the Manipur University campus on World Blood Donor Day on June 14.
