Child rights team in Imphal
Nagaland Post | Imphal, Aug. 16:
A team of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) led by its chairperson Santha Sinha arrived Imphal on Tuesday to overlook the government action taken report with regard to violation of child rights.
The team, comprising Depa Dixit and five officials of the commission, Sanjoy Kumar Tiwari, Dr Ramanath Nayak, Ravindra Kumar, Shreya Ghosh, Gunjan Vadhanwa, would also hold consultation with civil organisations working in the field of child rights in the state during their camping in the state, an official source said.
The NCPCR visit coincided with state-wide advocacy campaign for establishment of Manipur State Commission for Protection of Child Rights with active participation of European Union Project and Wide Angle.
