Chandel Nagas urge NSF to step into dismal edn system

The education system in Chandel district is at its lowest ebb if one has to go by what the public leaders here who spoke during the NSF goodwill tour meeting at Chandel Naga People’s Organisation (CNPO) Hall, Chandel on Saturday.
Another speaker, L. Poring revealed that many did not reciprocate to the idea of school affiliation with NBSE since they had to face several difficulties to reach Kohima for appearing exams. He, however, added that to survive as a nation, one has to come across numerous difficulties adding “we have not given up hope to get affiliated with NBSE.” He underlined the importance of understanding the policies of those who have control over the system as they might try subjugating the tribals.
A school teacher suggested the NSF to set up a committee to study the functioning of schools under Chandel district and how teachers were appointed . He said that thousands of students from outside the district infiltrates into Chandel to eailsy get through matric exam where mass copying is widely practised.
NSF president, Kelhouneizo Yhome expressed deep pain to learn about the dismal education system in Chandel. He urged the various students’ union in Chandel to see that the basic needs and facilities are given to the Naga brothers and sisters in schools. He also urged the ANSAM to ensure that free and fair exams are conducted.
