Centre continues NSCN-K truce
- Eye on pact with Indian cadres as Khaplang abrogates ceasefire
The Telegraph | Nishit Dholabhai | New Delhi, April 4:
The Centre will continue the unilateral ceasefire with the Myanmar-based NSCN (Khaplang) though the militant outfit has abrogated the truce.
"The government of India still has a unilateral ceasefire with NSCN (K)," a senior intelligence officer said when asked why the Centre was not retaliating to the attack. "Moreover, it is unclear if the Khaplang group was responsible as some are suspecting the NSCN (I-M)," he added. Three army personnel were killed and four injured when suspected NSCN rebels ambushed them on their way from Khonsa to Longding.
