Ceasefire exist in Nagaland not Burma: GPRN/NSCN
Morung Express | Dimapur, July 14 (MExN):
The GPRN/NSCN has pointed out that the “problem confronting the Naga people in the aftermath of impeachment and expulsion of former chairman S.S Khaplang from NSCN on 7th June 2011 by the National Assembly” was the “emergence of antisocial elements threatening the Naga people, especially business establishments with violence and bloodshed”. A press note issued by the MIP stated that the “bomb explosion twice in a short span of time” was a wake up call for the Nagas to assess the real intention of these elements propagating the name of S.S Khaplang.
“GPRN/NSCN is clear that if they want to hang on to Khaplang, they should go to Burmese side and indulge in violence and extortion. To still regard Khaplang as GPRN president is comparable to few Egyptian lunatics who still call discarded Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak as the president of Egypt”, the MIP note stated. The GPRN/NSCN argued that till 2010, Hosni Mubarak signed many peace agreements, treaties and business ventures with other countries yet the former president is now a mere public while the agreements he signed are still in force implemented by new Egyptian leaders
