Budget not in greater interest of NE people : Opposition parties

Opposition parties in Assam criticized the Union Budget presented by finance minister P Chidambaram in Parliament on Thursday while the ruling Congress expressed hope that the Budget will usher in development in the northeast.
Taking on the UPA for presenting an "anti-people" budget, senior BJP leader and MP Ramen Deka said the Union Budget is against the greater interest of the people of the northeast.
