Abducted RPF activist still untraced
Nagaland Post | Imphal, Sep 7
Whereabouts of one Gurumayum Jiteshwar Sharma alias GM Changjou alias Gypsy aged 49 and the assistant publicity secretary of the proscribed RPF of Manipur is still under cloud after he was picked up by unidentified persons in Dimapur on August 18 last.
Centre for Organisation Research and Education (CORE) on Wednesday, drew the attention of the Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) on the disappearance of Gurumayum, who it said was abducted by army personnel along with persons associated with the NSCN (I-M) from a house at Duncan Bosti, Dimapur at around 7 p.m. on August 18.
CORE pointed out that the abducted RPF member was not produced to court as mandated by law and neither were family members informed about reasons for his arrest and his whereabouts.
