4 scribes to contest Manipur ADC polls
Assam Tribune | Imphal, May 9 –
Four scribes including two editors, besides two former student leaders are all set to contest the upcoming Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections in Manipur scheduled to be held on June 1.
The three editors are Ramkung Pamei of Tamenglong- based ‘The Cham’, a Rongmei dialect daily newspaper, Kh Benlian Vaiphei of Churachandpur-based ‘Nisin Thuhiltu’, a Vaiphei dialect daily and SN John, Joint Editor of Manipur Express, a Churachandpur daily in Paite dialect. The other journalist was Ukhrul-based AS Pamreiso Shimray, a former correspondent of Hueiyen Lanpao English daily.
