2 DoNER projects to get World Bank, ADB aid

At least two projects of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) have been approved for aid from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank.
Revealing this, Union Minister of State for DoNER, Paban Singh Ghatowar has said that projects included North Eastern States Roads Investment Programme (NESRIP) with assistance from the ADB and North East Rural Livelihood Project with assistance from the World Bank.
ADB-assisted NESRIP was approved on May 19 at an estimated cost of Rs. 1353.83 crore. Under the Scheme, a total of 433.7 km of roads in Assam (137.6 km), Manipur (93.2 (km), Meghalaya (93.4 km), Mizoram (55.0 km), Sikkim (34.2 km) and Tripura (20.3 km) will be upgraded over a period of five years.
