Nagaland police arrested 22 people in the past 12 hours for their alleged involvement in Thursday's lynching of rape accused Syed Farid Khan.
The district administration re-imposed curfew in Dimapur from 3pm till midnight tonight, fearing further trouble as many organisations in Assam's Barak Valley announced a series of protests.
The administration also blocked Internet and mobile text message services across the state as a precautionary measure to prevent rumour mongering.
