Imphal, November 27: Unidentified persons planted a hoax bomb near the turning of Chajing from Lilong bridge under Singjamei Police Station at around 7 am today.

Before the arrival of the bomb experts of the State Police Department, the bomb was confirmed a hoax at around 8.20 am as it did not exploded when Major Mintu of 32 AR posted at Canchipur turned it over with the help of a bamboo pole.

It just turned out to be a can of Lactogen filled with pieces of broken glasses with a battery and a timer attached to it.
