Imphal, May 16: One suspected PULF cadre was killed in an encounter with Imphal East commandos tonight.

The encounter took place at KIYC ground, Top Khongnangkhong under Porompat police station at about 8 pm.

According to police sources, one 9 mm pistol, one live round, an empty case and demand letter of PULF were recovered from the possession of the slain individual.

Police have picked up the corpse and deposited RIMS mortuary.
