Imphal, April 09: Reacting sharply to the press statement of the KRA that the KRA (U) is a gang party bereft of any revolutionary principle, the KRA (U) has accused the KRA of working at the behest of some vested interest groups.

It contended that Paothang alias Collin was murdered by the KRA by poisoning his food after he was invited to a dinner at Imphal.

A statement issued by information and publicity secretary of the outfit Lenin Ch further asserted that Seilen alias Robert was also killed in a similar manner by adding toxic substances to the intravenous drug injected during his treatment at Metro Hospital, Dimapur.

Max was killed by one Lamkhulen under the command of K Hangshing, asserted Lenin.

Nando was killed by burying alive at a place in Sekta hills.

As in the case of Jamthang Haokip, KRA explained their clandestine killings only after the victims had been murdered, he alleged.

It also pointed out the reported incompatibilities in the statements of the KRA which reportedly claimed that Nando escaped by jumping into Iril river in the first instance and then into Imphal river in the next statement.

Even as Guna of Kairang was shot dead by cadres of a another UG group, the KRA claimed the killing as they intended to build up good relationships with UG groups operating in the valley, contended Lenin.

Lanminthang, Paocha, Romen and Paolun were killed by security forces on the instigation of K Hangshing.

He further disclosed that one Jonathan of KRA and his cohorts abducted an engineer and his wife in the name of the KLA and took money for themselves.

Claiming that Rahul and John who have been warned by the KRA to surrender within three days, are cadres of the KRA (U), Lenin asked one Birmangol of Jiri to give in to the outfit for allegedly fomenting strain between the KRA (U) and the KRA.

As regards the ethnic composition of the KRA (U), the information and publicity secretary clarified that there is no such hard and fast rule that Kuki should constitute this much and Meiteis that much.
