Imphal, July 06: The prime accused in the kidnapping and subsequent murder of Lungnila Elizabeth, daughter of former Minister Francis Ngajokpa, James Kuki alias Letsei Haokip has been sent to Sajiwa Central Jail.

The corpse of Lungnila Elizabeth, a student of Little Flower School Imphal, was found inside a gunny bag at Sadokpam under Lamphel police station on November 12, 2003 , nine days after she was kidnapped.

Prime accused in the ransom related murder case James Kuki fled to Dimapur from Langol Housing Complex together with his wife after discovery of the corpse.

While in the custody of NSCN (IM) at Hebron, his wife delivered a baby son.

After remaining at large for a long time, James Kuki was apprehended by a team of CBI from Dimapur on June 10.He was brought to Imphal the next day.

After James Kuki was produced before the Court of CJM Imphal, he was sent to Sajiwa Central Jail at about 3.15 pm today.
